RYA Powerboat Level 2

The two-day entry-level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. It focuses on low speed, close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations.

Powerboat Level 1 is not required to attend this course (and we don't run it) as the basics will be taught. Anyone 12 and over can complete the course but anyone under 16 will only be permitted to drive powerboats while being supervised for an adult until they are 16.

The course typically runs at the beginning and end of the sailing season (March-April and September-November ) we run Powerboat Level 2 courses but please get in touch to be notified of the next course.
